2013 Porsche Boxster

The Boxster, Porsche's entry-level model, enjoys a strong reputation among sports-car enthusiasts. Some even prefer it to the larger 911. The evolution—and, hopefully, the improvement—of the mid-engine Porsche roadster continues with the third generation, scheduled to debut publicly at March’s Geneva auto show.

Porsche will continue to offer the base Boxster,

  • Now with 265 hp (up 10 hp),

  • And the Boxster S with 315 hp (up 5 hp).
  • The entry-level Boxster gets an entirely new 2.7-liter flat-six engine, which is now based on the 3.4-liter engine of the Boxster S (and the new 911).
  • 0 to 60 mph will take a claimed 5.4 seconds in the Boxster;
  • And will take a claimed 4.7 seconds in the S;
  • Both cars being equipped with the optional seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission. The standard transmission remains a six-speed manual.
The 2013 Boxster—and a similarly updated hardtop Cayman derivative, which we expect to debut about a year from now—will be built at the former Karmann plant in Osnabrück, Germany.

Both Boxster models will arrive at U.S. dealers in the summer of this year.

Prices rise only slightly: the Boxster is up $1400 to $50,450, while the Boxster S will retail for $61,850, a $2300 increase over the 2012 model.

Spada Codatronca Monza

It’s been a few years since Spada released their Codatronca TS, but the now famous Italian car designer is back with an open top version of their supercar. The new model is called the Monza and will be making its grand debut at this year’s Top Marques Monaco.

The Spada Codatronca Monza will more than likely feature the same V8 engine found in its older brother, the Codatronca TS.

The TS was going to be offered in three different variants:
  • A TS "Sport Tourism" with 512 HP engine
  • A TSV "Fast Sport Tourism" with 513 HP
  • A TSS "Sport Super Tourism" with 700 HP
  • FAST FACT: TSS "Sport Super Tourism" was even capable of a 211 mph top speed, unfortunately, it never saw the light of production day.

The only variant that successfully stomped across the production line was the tamer of the three - the TS - which brought in $425,000 per unit. It is rumored that the Monza version will feature a larger power output than that of the TS, with a probable 630 hp at 6500 rpm and 492 lbs-ft at 4800 rpm.

UPDATE 07/11/2011: topspeed.com finally unearthed the official engine spec of the Codatronca Monza, one that features a supercharged 7.0-liter V8 engine with 710 horsepower and 701 lb/ft of torque mated to a six-speed manual transmission,
  • 0-62 mph in 3.0 seconds
  • Top speed of 208 mph
After unveiling the Codatronca Monza at the Top Marques Monaco, Spada has also released a new picture gallery of their latest 720 HP supercar. Enjoy!

UPDATE 11/14/2011: YouTube member, Marchettino, was lucky enough to capture the Spada Contronca as it makes it way around a track. The best part of the video is the soothing engine sounds and the up close and personal shots of the sports car itself. Enjoy!

Jordana Brewster

The daughter of Maria Joao Leal de Sousa, a former Sports Illustrated swimsuit model from—hold on, it gets better—Brazil, and Alden Brewster, an investment banker and the son of former Yale University president Kingman Brewster, Jordana grew up in Rio de Janeiro and London before settling in Manhattan at age 10.

After graduating from the Professional Children’s School—where she learned how to be a professional child—Jordana broke into acting on "All My Children" and then spent three years as Nikki Munson on "As the World Turns."

What do you get when you cross Brazilian-swimsuit-model genes with Yale-presidency genes? One stunning woman: Jordana Brewster.

2010 Pagani Zonda UNO

  • Did anyone really think the Pagani Tricolore would be the last Zonda produced? We didn’t think so, but among the variety of one-off models available, the vehicle that has the honor of being called the first is the Pagani Uno.
  • This ultra-exclusive Pagani was commissioned by Ana Al-Thani, a member of the Royal Family of Qatar, whose love for baby blue supercars borders on weird.
  • The Zonda Uno is powered by a 7.3-liter V12 AMG engine that produces 700 horsepower and was designed with some combined elements from the Zonda Cinque and the Zonda R, including the latter’s used of a revised carbon fiber that uses titanium for added strength.
  • Surprisingly - and not even a year after receiving the one-off - Ana Al-Thani has had enough fun and is now selling it on the open market.
  • As the first one-off Pagani supercar to be released, the Zonda Uno’s price tag hasn’t dropped the least bit, even if it’s ‘technically’ a second-hand supercar. If you’re interested, you better be ready to shell out €1.7 million, or $2.3 million based on current exchange rates, excluding the expected tax charges that come with it.

*Yeah, you’re better off using your $2.3 million on something else, but if you’ve got an insatiable appetite for this one-off Zonda, now’s your chance to actually own it.

GLOCK's Competition

  • Smith & Wesson certainly give GLOCK a run for their money.
  • With there line of top-notch 1911's and law enforcement/military M&P pistol line, they are a force to be reckoned with.
  • They have been competing for years with GLOCK and others; GLOCK sometimes has the upper hand, but sometimes not. Who will win the battle for the name of best pistol?

Well here is where Beretta and Sig Sauer come in.

  • Beretta has almost 500 years of business experience that has enriched Beretta with enormous skill and knowledge which allowed it to develop specific and superior technology in the field of precision mechanics. Throughout time, the company eventually became larger and larger.
  • Today, Beretta has a huge market whether it be there military issue M9 service pistol, or there competition grade and personal defense Px4 Storm series.
  • SIG Sauer is the largest of the five companies and one of the largest firearms manufacturing entities in the world. It is also one of the fastest growing firearms maker in the United States, expanding its operations and increasing sales nearly 50% since 2005
  • .SIG Sauer has recently tripled its work force and invested eighteen million dollars into state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and equipment.
  • According to SIG Sauer, one-third of U.S. police use SIG firearms.

GLOCK Women

You have every right to defend yourself!
Women are heeding this message, and the number who own pistols has been growing at a phenomenal rate.
Now it’s time to choose the right means.
But you won’t find a “Woman’s” model here.
If someone crosses that line, you require equal stopping power.
You might first look at GLOCK's Sub-Compact and Slimline models, but with GLOCK's Modular Back Strap System, any pistol is within your reach.

GLOCK Hunting

In the wilderness, a GLOCK provides confidence against unexpected threats.
A sidearm must be able to endure any given situation, climate, or environment—no matter how extreme.
So it only makes sense that you put your trust in the pistol that has reliably withstood hundreds of torture tests. Going hunting? Bag a GLOCK first.

American Muscle, Why Not?

The Chevrolet Camaro is back in Vegas at the SEMA Auto Show and just like last year, it brings plenty of iterations for the Bumblebee base vehicle.

The 1LE Concept is a modern-day take on the legendary 1LE option code designation that Camaro fans the world over have come to love.
It’s only a concept - major bummer! - but it does combine the best of both worlds from the SS and the ZL1 to offer a true race-ready program.

“The Camaro 1LE concept is all about the track,” said Al Oppenheiser, chief engineer for the Camaro. “It’s an all-out race car package that pays tribute to that special option from the past.”

Dressed in a Victory Red finish with a flat black hood and hash mark extensions, the Camaro 1LE Concept is the picture of awesomeness.
The car also carries a satin black splitter, rocker panels, a rear spoiler, a sport suspension system that features Magnetic Ride Control, a shock tower brace, dual exhaust outlets, and a set of 20" racing wheels wrapped in Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar G tires with Brembo brakes.

Inside, the Camaro 1LE Concept was dressed in a black leather light stone stitching. It also has a graphite silver doors and instrument panel inserts, a ZL1 flat-bottom steering wheel and shifter, and a Chevrolet Accessories pedal kit.

There’s no telling what kind of powertrain it has, but rest assured, we’re frothing at the mouth just thinking about all the possibilities.

Scion iQ/ Cutest Car in the World

Barely larger but far more practical than a Smart Fortwo, the Scion iQ is a re-badged version of Toyota’s iQ city car currently sold in Japan and Europe.

This car has the potential to revive Scion’s flagging hipster cred, plus it shows that Toyota still can innovate: The iQ is 117.5 inches long (about a foot longer than a Fortwo), but its clever packaging allows for rear seats.

A 1.3-liter four-cylinder should make at least 100 horsepower.

Look for it in showrooms at the end of 2010. Expect a price of about $16,000.

Anderson Germany Again

Some like BMW, Audi A8 is preferred by others.

And if the car touches the hand of Anderson Germany, it gives a very excellent machine, such as Audi A8 Venom.

The first thing you’ll notice about the car is the eye-catching satin gunmetal gray with the front grill, all emblems, plus the door handles and window surrounds finished in gloss black.

The dark theme continues with the tinted windows and smoked lights. Door panels, center console and the new sports steering wheel are trimmed in carbon fiber, while the seats and the cabin are dressed in a mix of leather and Alcantara in light gray.

Performance modifications include a new exhaust system with a racing catalyst as well as a sports air filter and optimized software for the A8′s 4.2-liter V8 that lift output to 442HP, up from 350HP, plus a lowered sports suspension.

 Everything looks great.

Unique Car Turns Heads

I’m sure you’ve seen these pictures and you might know something about this car.

If not I'll tell you briefly. It is called Predator Extreme, but in essence, it is a jumble of Ferrari Enzo, Lamborghini Reventon, and McLaren F1.

However, there are also notes and from Infiniti. you'll see these in the tail lights mainly - which are borrowed from the Infiniti G35. Pretty sweet. The interior is pimpin' with a grey, red and white color scheme. They contrast to make the interior sexy yet refined at the same time.

For the first time this mix showed up on the Web two years ago, and now it was put up for sale. Price... around $230,000 dollars.

Pagani and Daimler Together

While it is an independent company,
Pagani has a working relationship with Daimler AG,
most notably, with Mercedes' AMG arm.

This is partly due to the fact that five-time Formula One champion, Juan Manuel Fangio had suggested that Pagani approach Mercedes.

The Zonda has used increasingly advanced versions of the M120 V12; the initial version displaced 6.0L, but current Zondas use a 7.3L engine.

Pagani has also assisted in the development of the Chrysler ME 412.

The M158 engine for the Pagani Huayra is shared with the Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series.

However, Pagani has commissioned Mercedes-Benz to reduce turbo lag and improve response, resulting in new exhaust headers, pistons, intake manifold and turbos.

What is Anderson Germany Up Too?

CAR UPDATED ON:
29 June, 2011

The design house by Anderson Germany created a package for owners of the Ferrari F430 Spyder. 569HP, a new color called Hyper Black, new tail pipes and a set of three-piece, 20-inch glossy black alloy wheels with carbon and yellow border.
The MSRP for a Ferrari F430 is surprisingly
$186,925 to
$217,310 in the United States.
The more expensive price tag being reserved for the Spider.

The F430 has a top speed of 196 mph (315 km/h).

Ferrari also claims the car sprints from 0-62 mph in 4.0 seconds, that's 0.3 seconds quicker than the old model.

As you already know, this is not a normal Ferrari. It's faster, and this Ferrari by Anderson Germany dominates all fields of 'Shock & Awe' looks.

That means if you ever could afford this car, you would get a lot of  comments such as...
"Damn, that's a pimpin' whip dawg."
